JCP was looking to update their brand by changing the look of their stores. What’s a quick and relatively inexpensive way to do so? That’s right! Switch out your mannequins. So that’s what they did. To the tune of 30,000 mannequins in a few months, which helped JCP step boldly forward.
While the JCP Brooklyn store used some of our showroom-ready works from our catalog, they did have one custom request for a mannequin we like to call “Purse Lady.” Her arms extend out to hold purses and accessories – up to 30 lbs on each arm. We engineered a steel rod across her body, a departure from most mannequins which are required to be somewhat “posable.” The purse lady has one pose, and it’s quite a supporting role.
